Youngsters are drumming up support for Africa

KIDS at Strathblane Primary took part in a fun event at the school last Friday aimed at helping out youngsters in Africa.

Throughout Africa Day at the school, pupils got the chance to join in traditional dancing and drumming sessions, while there was also the opportunity to sample some tasty African food.

Having previously built up strong links with schools in Eritrea, in the north east of the continent, the purpose of the event was to raise money to send textbooks out to their friends in the African country.
