FAIR TRADE PACK FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Our fair trade pack is an excellent resource for teaching about fair trade or holding a special fair trade event at your school.  The pack can be used by a single class for the full day or provide activities for the whole school.

The art activities are great fun and the pupils masterpieces can be used along with the decorating materials to create an impressive visual display for the school.  The fridge magnets are also fun to make and are an excellent reminder at home to buy Fairtrade products at the supermarket.

Children will learn about life in rural Africa during the trading simulation game and realise the importance of fair trade for the lives of people in developing countries.  Find out about cocoa plantations in Ghana and how fair trade helps the local farmers.  Finish your day with the interactive Fairtrade quiz.

Full list of contents:

1. Wall Hanging Art Pack (contents for 30 pupils) – A5 black canvas with double-sided tape, bamboo cane, twine pieces, pupil ideas sheet and instructions.

2. Collage Art Pack (contents for 30 pupils) – black A4 cardboard, blue tissue paper strips, green tissue strips, black circles and instructions.

3. Fridge Magnet Pack (contents for 30 pupils) – plastic frame & cover, self-adhesive magnet, activity sheet and instructions.

4. Fair Trade Trading Game (16-40 players) – contents; 8 family cards, produce sheets, trading counters, teacher instructions, teacher notes.  We supply materials for one game but can be reused or photocopied for use with other classes.  This game was designed by Dr Helen Chebe and is suitable for P5-P7 (England Yr 4-6).

5. Fairtrade Chocolate Bean to Bar – PowerPoint presentation disc, teacher notes and chocolate worksheets.

This pack provides everything you need to create a fantastic fair trade day in your school.  The fair trade pack costs £199.00 total and includes the postage cost (UK mainland) to your school.
